The blame for the garbage crisis lies with one person - Mayor Vasil Terziev. This is another crisis in Sofia, not the first. This was stated by GERB-SDF MP Denitsa Sacheva to BTV.
If someone cannot keep their coalition partners, cannot keep their deputy mayors, their administration, gather a majority, keep their district mayors, cannot make sure that people have water and heating in the winter, if someone does not deal with the garbage, and if this someone is the same, then who is to blame.
"Terziev turned to the Public Procurement Agency on March 26, given that the waste contract expired on April 10."
And he specified: "He should have submitted the documents 6 months before March."
"Vasil Terziev's overall behavior is that of a person whose GPS is still wandering between PR strategies and reality. A person enters politics to do something, not to constantly explain who is to blame", revealed the GERB-SDF MP.
Vasil Terziev did not even bother to put on some jeans and a T-shirt and help the volunteers with the garbage, commented Sacheva.
"You don't expect prices to remain the same, while at the same time incomes, pensions, everything else to jump", she said in response to a comment from the presenters that the prices for garbage removal in Plovdiv and Burgas are also now close to double compared to previous contracts.
