"I thank the people of Pazardzhik for proving with their vote that they believe in the new beginning and know that my personal cause is the people and their well-being. With this vote, our commitment to Pazardzhik is even greater and we will work so that it develops and becomes more attractive to its citizens. And, as everyone knows, I keep my word and I keep the people!"
This is what the leader of the Democratic Rights Party Delyan Peevski stated after winning the early municipal council elections in the regional town.
He congratulated the candidates for municipal councilors in Pazardzhik, the campaign headquarters and the party's activists and pointed out that for the Democratic Rights Party there are no "important and less important elections".
"We have also proven something else that when we do politics for the people, when they know that they can rely on us, people believe in a new beginning. They know that tension, escalation and conflicts are not the point of politics and did not succumb to provocations. And one more thing - politics is not done on social networks, nor only on election day - politics for the people is done every day, for all people. Without division into second-class people and people “so-so”, without hatred, but with unity in the name of the people. Which is our unchanging mission”, Peevski further commented.
He also congratulated the "worthy performance of the newly elected mayors from the MRF": Vildan Bayram Mehmed, elected mayor of Boyan Botevo Municipality, Mineralni Bani Municipality, Haskovo Region, and Iliya Kamenov Iliev, elected mayor of Strupets Municipality, Roman Municipality, Vratsa Region.
