The work of the parliament today is in question after the threat of the leader of GERB Boyko Borisov that the deputies from his formation will no longer support the quorum for holding meetings, BNR reported.
The reason for the warning was the result of the extraordinary local vote in Pazardzhik. According to Borisov, GERB deputies should meet with the party structures in the country.
Angry with the result of his party, which remained in sixth place in the extraordinary local vote in Pazardzhik, and the comments of some political formations, yesterday GERB leader Boyko Borisov spoke about reformatting the government or early elections.
"We will not give them a quorum anymore. We will spend another three-four-five days without a quorum and then the government will just leave. Let them get together and decide whether they can govern without the sixth party. In my opinion, they can".
The chairmanship of Natalia Kiselova was also questioned:
“That Kiselova, wherever she sees a celebration of roses, strawberries, cherries, plums, janka, lettuce, goes there to show off. Let alone if there is a match, if there is anything, if there is volleyball, it is a miracle! Nineteen, how many MPs does she have behind her, from where to where? She should ask before she leaves.
I don't like this at all. That's why the Prime Minister should tighten up, reformat, including the Speaker of the National Assembly. Such a thing cannot be done. Almost a year, they have had enough! That's enough for them!"
In a statement to the media yesterday, the leader of "DPS-New Beginning" Delyan Peevski announced that he will support the Speaker of the National Assembly, nominated by GERB, and is ready to participate in a conversation about reformatting the government.
Against these threats, the preliminary program of the parliament for today includes three ratifications of agreements, the appointment of a commission to audit the financial statements of the Court of Accounts for the last three years, and a discussion at first reading of amendments to the Law on Tourism, which creates a tourist guarantee fund to provide for consumers in the event of the bankruptcy of a tour operator.
Yesterday, the PP-DB announced that they will propose to include in the agenda of the National Assembly the creation of a temporary commission for the “Hemus” highway, as well as two hearings.
