We have total degradation in society, it is agonizing, and our people, our children are literally killing themselves. They know that they cannot rely on anyone, they know that no one will pay attention to them, they know that teachers will not react, they know that the police will not intervene. This was said by the chairman of "Vazrazhdane" Kostadin Kostadinov in the program "Bulgaria, Europe and the World in Focus" on Radio "Focus".
The reasons for this, according to him, are the degradation of the Bulgarian political elite and society and the lack of law. "Children have been seeing this not for a year, not two, not three - they have been seeing it for 30 years, and the results have started to catch up with us. Children know that criminals are unpunished and if you want to be like them - strong and powerful, you have to become one too. They simply imitate. A criminal mentality is being created, which shows that in our country everyone can achieve everything by force and by breaking the laws. It will get worse and worse, because school has long had no educational role. This is the mass role model and this is the big drama", said Kostadinov.
One of the signs of the degradation of society is reactive, not proactive actions, he pointed out. "We always react with some kind of belated reaction. But the law does not solve the problems. If we want to solve these problems, we must eliminate the cause, not treat the consequences. The cause is degradation and lack of legality“, he explained.
The only way for this to happen is early elections, and the only resistance force in Bulgaria at the moment is "Vazrazhdane“, said the party leader. "Here is the challenge before us – whether we will be able to win the trust of our compatriots. We fight for this every day and will continue to fight, because we have no other people. Bulgaria has two paths ahead of it – either "Vazrazhdane“, or the end of its statehood“, said Kostadinov.
