The National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH) has announced an orange code for significant precipitation in several areas in our country for today, according to a report on the institute's website.
The warning is for the districts of Pernik, Sofia-region, part of Montana, part of Vidin, Kyustendil and Sofia-city.
A yellow code has been announced for the districts of Vratsa, Pleven, Lovech, parts of Montana and of Vidin, Blagoevgrad, Pazardzhik and part of Sofia-region.
According to the NIMH forecast, today in many places in the western and central regions there will be rainfall, in places in Western Bulgaria - intense and significant in quantity, with thunderstorms. By the evening, rain will also fall in the eastern part of the country. The wind will continue to blow to a moderate extent from the south-southwest, in places north of the mountains - and temporarily strong. The maximum temperatures will be between 14° and 19°, for Sofia - around 14°.
