The Constitutional Court has filed a case on the appeal on the amendments to the SANS Act. This was announced by the court's press center.
The petitioners are 59 deputies of the 51st National Assembly, news.bg recalled.
They insist that the Constitutional Court declare unconstitutional the amendment to Art. 8 of the Law on the State Agency "National Security" and the repeal of Art. 7, para. 2, item 5 of the Law on the Management and Functioning of the National Security Protection System, adopted by the National Assembly on 02.10.2025, promulgated in issue No. 90 of October 28, 2025 of the State Gazette.
Judge Sasho Penov was elected rapporteur in the case.
We recall that with legal changes, the deputies took away the right of the president to appoint the heads of DAR, DATO and DANS.
