Nikolay Popov - the father of 12-year-old Siyana, who died in a serious accident, made an emotional appeal to all Bulgarians to unite in the fight against impunity and corruption in the judicial system.
„Let's stand up to the murderers and sadists. This is the fight for justice for our murdered children. For our future. In Bulgaria, anyone can kill children and animals, harass the elderly without any punishment. On the contrary, the murderers are released from court, acquitted and receive ridiculous sentences“, Popov writes on "Facebook".
According to him, the judicial system has lost its humanity, and decisions often serve criminals and influential people, instead of protecting ordinary citizens.
Popov is categorical that behind this impunity lies the lack of control and responsibility on the part of the institutions.
In the person of the President of the Supreme Court of Cassation Galina Zakharova, we faced a real wall of callousness and irresponsibility. Why did Siyana's murderer let her die, just as the doctor Nenad Tsonevski ran over and left an innocent animal to die in agony? Because our society lacks any form of justice and fairness! The Bulgarian, uncontrolled and independent court has a huge credit for this, Popov also writes.
