Regarding the words of GERB leader Boyko Borisov that he was a scoundrel to the then head of Corporate Commercial Bank Tsvetan Vassilev, because Vassilev was chased by Delyan Peevski and was hiding in his garage, the co-chairs of "Yes, Bulgaria" Ivaylo Mirchev and Bozhidar Bozhanov asked Borisov questions on the sidelines of parliament through the media.
“The story is unfolding around the bankruptcy of Corpbank. How did Tsvetan Vassilev get to the garage of the then former Prime Minister Borisov, why did Peevski chase him, what did Vassilev want from Borisov, is it possible that Borisov has specific assets in Corpbank and they can be lost?”, asked Ivaylo Mirchev. Stressing that Borisov must answer because it was he who opened this topic.
“Is “Bulgartabac” among these assets, is this related to a secret notebook of Tsvetan Vassilev, which already appeared in the Bulgarian media some time ago, and in which Borisov's assets in offshore companies are described, which are related to Tsvetan Vassilev? And the big question for Borisov is what he told Vassilev when Vassilev told him in the garage in question or one or two floors above - Mr. Borisov, these assets will go away if the bank goes away too”, continued Mirchev.
According to him, if Borisov had reacted manly, like a true former prime minister, like a strong man in the state, he could not have allowed these assets to be lost. “However, if he had said - oh, I don't know, get better, because Peevski managed to put pressure on him even then, again Mr. Borisov owes answers. Now we will expect Borisov to give these answers, if not, tomorrow with Bozhidar Bozhanov we will stand before you again with the next part of this story”, Mirchev told reporters.
Mirchev and Bozhanov once again urged the GERB group to sign the request for the resignation of the head of the Anti-Corruption Commission Anton Slavchev, who is a Peevski stooge, as promised by the leader of the party and its parliamentary group. Bozhanov reminded that a minimum of 80 signatures are needed, and now a little over 50 have been collected, with only Boyko Borisov signing from GERB. “Does Borisov control his group or was his signature simply a theatrical act to get him out of responsibility for the CPC?”, asked Bozhanov. “The GERB MPs are either not listening to him or are shy because Peevski told them - you will not sign”, Mirchev suggested.
