The technical support of the Ministry of Interior and the police as an institution is a problem that has existed for years. Some of the problems have been solved, some are progressing over time, so they are about to be solved."
This was stated by the Minister of Interior Daniel Mitov during his hearing in the relevant parliamentary committee.
According to him, there are several areas as a goal for the Ministry of Interior - the administration of the internal affairs department to be digitized and electronicized, news.bg specified.
"This transfer of paper must stop. By the end of the year, the Ministry of Interior will be able to work with electronicization, but internal communication is not yet electronic. The activities of "Human Resources" must be electronicized in the Ministry of Interior", he pointed out.
Mitov would like to see two things in the police - that the law enforcement agencies have modern tasers and body cameras.
"The use of body cameras by the Ministry of Interior employees is mandatory. As many times as necessary, we will travel around the country to convince the police that body cameras are necessary. The body camera shows how the situation is developing - on the one hand to the police, and on the other to the citizens," the Minister of Interior explained.
