A major breakdown has stopped the heating and hot water in a significant part of the center of Sofia, and the problem will probably not be fixed this year.
"Toplofikatsiya Sofia" reports that the area between "Slivnitsa" Blvd., "Hristo Botev" Blvd., "Ivaylo" St., "Otets Paisiy" St., "Damyan Gruev" St., "Dobrudzhanski Kray" St., "Knyaz Boris I" St., "P. Parchevich", Blvd. "Patriarh Evtimiy", Blvd. "Praga", Str. "Dospat", Blvd. "Totleben", Blvd. "Pencho Slaveykov", but the information is still being updated.
The heat supply has also been stopped to buildings nearby, in Zone B-5, Zone B-18, "Serdika" and "Kriva Reka".
It is expected that the heating and hot water will be turned on on January 1, 2026, at 12:00.
