A curious case in Plovdiv. A sign prohibiting standing and parking was stolen seven times by an unknown perpetrator. The man was seen on cameras in the area, and the police are looking for him, informs BNT.
The residents of the "Zapaden" district have been observing the strange series of thefts of the sign prohibiting standing and parking on the busy street for almost a year and a half.
„The street is one of the quite busy ones, nearby we have a large residential complex with businesses, a kindergarten and a nursery, and when cars park on this side, passing becomes impossible and traffic is blocked“, explained the mayor of the "Zapaden" district Toni Stoycheva.
From her words it became clear that the municipality has received 7 reports that the sign has been stolen. The police specify that the person has not yet been identified.
"Obviously there is someone who has an interest in this sign being gone. The recordings have been taken down, handed over, we have filed two or three reports with the police, so an investigation has been started and the prosecutor's office has been notified, but the person has not yet been identified", Stoycheva also explained.
A week ago there was a fire in the area in which two adults were injured, one later died, and the fire department had great difficulty reaching the flames because of parked cars, the mayor also explained
