A driver with nearly 4 per mille of alcohol in his blood crashed on the Varna - Burgas road, the press center of the police in Varna announced. The man lost control of his car and crashed into the dividing barrier on the road. The police officers who arrived at the scene of the accident gave him a test, which showed 3.99 per mille of alcohol.
A speedy investigation has been initiated into the case.
As BTA reported, according to data from the "Traffic Police" in Varna last year, 626 drivers in the region got behind the wheel after drinking alcohol, 263 of them had over 1.2 per mille of alcohol in their blood. There were 729 serious accidents in the region.
