Resigned Social Minister Borislav Gutsanov is one of the candidates for BSP leader. In the village of Glavinitsa in the Pazardzhik region, he stated that the party must return to its left-wing roots. According to him, the upcoming Congress has a key role in choosing a chairman who can lead the socialists out of the crisis and restore trust in the Centennial.
„For me, the most important thing is for the Congress to choose this chairman who can really put the BSP on the right track in such a difficult moment, to return to its foundations. I am more than convinced that Bulgaria needs a left-wing party - such as the BSP. It is no coincidence that we have been a parliamentaryly represented party for more than 120 years,” he stated.
