Half of the group from the „BSP – United Left” supported the changes to the Electoral Code, the other half – did not. I personally was against reducing the sections abroad, because every Bulgarian citizen has the right to vote. I understand that the topic is controversial, especially given that a voter does not live in the country for a long time. But still, these people are Bulgarian citizens and should have the right to vote. I believe that now we will support the veto of Iliyana Yotova and that the restrictions on the sections will be lifted.

Regarding Andrey Gyurov as the president's choice for caretaker prime minister, he believes that “he will be as impartial as possible” against the background of the individuals in the “house book”.
Valkov commented on whether Boyko Rashkov would be a good choice for caretaker interior minister. According to him, the PP-DB MP did well the previous time he held this position, and will probably do well again. He expressed hope that the interior minister in the caretaker cabinet would be independent of any political party.
Valkov said that the party had not discussed whether a BSP representative would be part of the caretaker government.
The MP also commented on the choice of Krum Zarkov as BSP chairman. “Borislav Gutsanov was a minister in the government. That is, one message was – to keep it the same. The second was – to change something. Whether it will be for better or for worse, we will see”, he pointed out.

Regarding the upcoming vote, Valkov is of the opinion that every left-wing person – socialist can vote only for the BSP. In addition, the party also stood behind Rumen Radev in the presidential elections, – which, however, is already part of history”. He added that each of the parties, including the current president, are competitors of the BSP. He added that after the new National Assembly is formed, it will become clear whether the BSP will stand against or behind Boyko Borisov and Delyan Peevski. “I believe that with the election of Krum Zarkov, we will take the right side of change”, he added.
Vulkov believes that in politics there should be a strong left and a strong right, because only in this way can the country move forward. And the balance is achieved by changing the left and right in government, he added.
On the topic of “Petrohan – Okolchitsa”, the politician believes that the case should not be politicized.
The institutions must do their job, but “years of distrust in the services lead to us getting into theories about what happened there”, he added. Valkov believes that it is a problem that politicians associated with the PP-DB have donated to “this sect”.
