The Sofia District Court declared Blagomir Kotsev's 24-hour detention illegal. According to the court's decision, the order was written incorrectly and it was not clear to the mayor of Varna why he was detained, Nova TV reports.
The court's decision is from February 20, but it is becoming clear now, the SRC confirmed to NOVA. Kotsev's lawyer Ina Lulcheva appealed the decision in Varna, but it was sent for jurisdiction to the SRC, because the detention was by the Directorate for the Prevention of Corruption and Corruption of the Bulgarian National Police.
The decision can be appealed within 14 days before the Administrative Court - Sofia City.
