The Central Election Commission will determine and appoint the members of the Regional Election Commissions. The deadline for this expires by the end of today.
Today's issue of the State Gazette should publish the latest changes to the Election Code, so for the vote on April 19, the "Outside the country" constituency is eliminated.
The number of regional election commissions remains at 31, the same as the multi-mandate constituencies, and the CEC, as before, will organize the vote abroad.
With the latest changes in the countries that are not members of the European Union, up to 20 sections will be formed outside the diplomatic and consular representations of Bulgaria in the respective country.
By law, today is the deadline for the CEC to announce the locations abroad, where in the elections held up to 5 years before the election day, there was at least one polling station in which no less than 100 voters voted.
The Central Election Commission has already stated in its decision that no later than March 28, it will determine by decision the places in the countries where polling stations will be formed and their number in each place. This will also be done on the basis of the summarized data, including the applications submitted by our compatriots for voting abroad.
The polling stations will be formed by order of the heads of diplomatic or consular missions no later than March 31.
