Zarkov from Plovdiv region: A fair Bulgaria means that people can live and develop in their hometowns - 1

„If we do not make Bulgaria fair, it will soon prove impossible for the people who live in it.“. This was stated by the chairman of the Bulgarian Socialist Party Krum Zarkov at a meeting with citizens in Asenovgrad.

According to him, many people are currently forced to leave their hometowns in search of fulfillment in big cities, and from there very often abroad. “It is impossible to live healthily because of the food that is offered to you, because of the lack of healthcare. Children cannot develop in a way that even their parents had the opportunity to.“, said Zarkov and added: “Therefore, as socialists and Bulgarians, we are obliged to make this fair Bulgaria possible!“

The leader of the “BSP-UNITED LEFT“ list in Plovdiv-region Atanas Telcharov placed emphasis on regional policy. “We have not had a policy for the development of our regions for 35 years. We have only one developed region - Sofia, which has developed so much that it is already hindering itself. There can be no strong state without strong regions. Road construction is not a regional policy, it is a much deeper issue.“, he was categorical.

During a meeting in Karlovo, the topic of the upcoming meeting of the Municipal Council at the end of the month was raised, at which it will be decided whether to have a referendum on the issue of the construction of a gunpowder plant by the company “Rheinmetall“ on the territory of the municipality. According to those present, the construction of a production facility with a potentially serious environmental impact is being discussed.

Atanas Telcharov categorically stated that the position of the BSP is clear and consistent and has always taken into account the opinion of the people: “BSP supports holding a referendum. I am convinced that our municipal councilors will vote “for“, and the party will stand behind the decision that the citizens make. Be calm – we are on your side.“

During the day, BSP Chairman Zarkov met with socialists and sympathizers in Parvomay and Plovdiv, where he was welcomed by the leader of the local list, Tatyana Doncheva.
