In the special pre-election edition of the program “120 minutes“ on bTV, Ivaylo Mirchev from the PP-DB, leader of the party's lists in 24 MIR in Sofia, stated that state aid in conditions of rising fuel prices should be strictly targeted.
“It is very important that this support should not be on a shoestring. It should be only for those in need, for those for whom it makes sense to have such“, he emphasized.
According to him, in recent years in Bulgaria funds have often been distributed without a clear direction.
Mirchev noted that in conditions of an extended budget, the possibilities of the caretaker cabinet are limited: “In conditions when there is no budget, the hands of the caretaker government are largely tied.“
„Business should see an adequate response from the state, no tax increases, less administration and faster administration“, believes the PP-DB representative.
Regarding the scandal surrounding the 10-year agreement signed by caretaker Prime Minister Andrey Gyurov, he noted that this is not a contract, but a framework agreement.
The politician emphasized that judicial reform remains a key priority of the PP-DB. Among the first tasks will be a new Law on the Judiciary and a new Supreme Judicial Council (SJC)
„Sarafov cannot continue to be the chief prosecutor. The big question is what we do with the “dwarves“ and the dependencies in the judicial system“, added Mirchev.
Mirchev outlined three main issues facing the country - what we do with corruption, where Bulgaria is looking and how we reform the judicial system.
