There is disturbing data from the so-called "Pepi Euro archive". This was announced to the Bulgarian National Radio by Emil Dechev, Minister of Interior.
The Minister of Justice Andrey Yankulov took action on a signal received from the Civil Movement "Bulgaria United with One Goal" (BOEC), together with the so-called "Petyo Petrov-Euro archive". He sent the signal, along with the scanned documents, to the Ministry of Interior for inspection and taking the relevant legal measures in case of violations, as well as to the Chairman of the Criminal Chamber of the Supreme Court of Cassation - for consideration of further actions under the mechanism for independent investigation of the Prosecutor General.
"We are working on it, but I cannot announce sensitive information".
However, this information must be sent to the Sofia City Prosecutor's Office, Dechev also noted.
"If we want the Ministry of Interior to do its job 1000%, we still rely on the prosecutor's office. The people who hold the position of prosecutor general and head of the Sofia City Prosecutor's Office - the only one that can conduct an investigation against members of parliament, ministers, judges, prosecutors, investigators".
The minister explained in the program "Above All" whether he was on vacation with Teodora Georgieva in 2020.
"I worked as a judge in the Sofia District Court, where she worked as a prosecutor in the Sofia District Prosecutor's Office... I know an incredible number of prosecutors.
We only traveled together once - in 2017. We traveled with her friend and my friends to Greece and sailed together for a week. There were 12 of us. After 2020, when she went to work as a prosecutor in the European Public Prosecutor's Office in Luxembourg, we practically had no contact. I don't see any conflict of interest.
I believe that she made a mistake by agreeing to go to a gentleman known by the nickname - Petar Petrov, known as the Euro. This is a mistake for which she is paying, but at the same time she claims that pressure was exerted on her in connection with her work as a Bulgarian prosecutor in the European Public Prosecutor's Office in Luxembourg. Materials against her are published in various media. At one point, she also becomes a victim.
Dechev explained that the Ministry of Interior is working on her allegations.
He also commented on the incident with Yavor Bozhankov's car.
"The director of the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior - Veliko Tarnovo reports to me. He informed me that there was a case in which MP Bozhankov did not obey a sign given by the Traffic Police to stop. He continued, after which the next day he himself appeared at the regional department. An act of administrative violation was drawn up. A coercive administrative measure was applied to revoke the driver's license.
I have visited almost all the Regional Directorates of the Ministry of Interior in the country. I keep repeating that there are no ours, no favorites, no our Ministry of Interior. I want to act equally towards representatives of different parties and coalitions. We must be uncompromising towards every violator of the law. What is happening now is proof that we do not have double standards".
Yesterday, Emilia Rusinova wrote a letter to Bulgarian citizens, in which she said: "I will continue to remain silent", Minister Dechev also said.
"In recent weeks, unverified allegations, suggestions and unacceptable public qualifications have been spread against me, presented in a manner that creates a distorted view of the facts. The only goal is my public discredit". This is stated in an official statement by the acting Sofia City Prosecutor Emilia Rusinova, distributed to the media regarding information about her trips abroad in a car with the wanted former investigator Petyo Petrov - Pepi Euroto.
Dechev noted that she will speak only before the Prosecutor's College, which first unanimously promoted Prosecutor General Ivan Geshev to the post, and then unanimously removed him.
"If someone had been interested, these facts could have been disclosed earlier and worked on.".
