In Hungary, the people who came out to vote and said how the country should be governed won. I believe that if we achieve higher voter turnout in Bulgaria, then everyone will be a winner. This was said by the candidate-MP from the “BSP-United Left” Gergana Aleksova in the studio of “Denyat na Zievo” on NOVA NEWS.
She pointed out that a direct parallel cannot be drawn between Bulgaria and Hungary in terms of the way of governance.
In her words, the BSP is the only left-wing party, the only one that declares itself for decent work and reducing inequalities. “Taxes must be fair, because this will lead to economic growth”, the candidate-MP also explained.
Alexova commented on the program of “Progressive Bulgaria”. She described it as “quite right-wing”, although there are people with “left-wing understandings” in the formation.
“The progressive tax is one of the things we will negotiate about. We believe that we can find understanding in Rumen Radev's formation. There are economists there who understand the fairness of this system”, pointed out Aleksova.
She was categorical that Bulgarian business and production must be preserved. In her words, markups must be limited depending on the type of goods. Aleksova said that inflation in our country is not due to the introduction of the euro, but due to the uncontrolled increase in prices.
The candidate-MP was categorical that the budget must be adopted as quickly as possible.
