The issuance of 10-year international passports, which will be 48 pages, begins. In parallel, they will also be issued with a 5-year term. The prices are increasing. For 10-year passports, the price of the regular service will be 29 euros, for the fast one - 58 euros, and for the express one - 145 euros, bTV reported.
For 5-year passports, the regular order becomes 26.59 euros (previously it was 20.45 euros).
„There is a change in prices, but they are in line with the cost of the product. The change is not significant“, specified Deputy Minister of Interior Ivan Anchev.
Interior Minister Emil Dechev recalled that in June 2024, the issuance of the new Bulgarian identity card began, which was later awarded the best in Europe.
A new Administrative Service Center of the “Bulgarian Identity Documents“ Directorate was officially opened in Sofia today in the “Mladost 4“ district in Sofia. Until now, it was in the city center – on “Maria Luiza“ Blvd.
“This center is built with the highest technological capabilities. Electronic identification will also be launched there. The opening of this center does not mean that the remaining passport offices in Sofia will be closed, only those in the 7th and 8th districts”, explained Ivan Anchev.
