Another hearing in the "Debora" case is expected today at the Plovdiv District Court. The defendant is Debora Mihaylova's former boyfriend - Georgi Georgiev.
At the last hearing, witnesses, including a medical professional, testified before the court. More than two and a half years ago, Georgi Georgiev was accused of having abused his girlfriend by inflicting cuts on her with a mock knife. He has also been charged with threatening to kill Debora.
So far, Georgiev's defense has requested the recusal of court panels in the Plovdiv District Court 20 times due to alleged bias. According to the lawyers, all the court panels in Plovdiv are biased, especially after the institution was convicted of delayed justice and must pay Georgi Georgiev compensation of 500 euros.
Debora Mihaylova told BNT that she finds the development of the case too slow.
