The Ministry of Internal Affairs announced a few minutes ago the position of the Chief Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Chief Commissioner Zhivko Kotsev. As FAKTI wrote, earlier today he submitted an application to be released from office on his own accord.
"Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
Dear colleagues,
I am addressing you with all due respect and to prevent unnecessary speculation and insinuations against me and the Home Office.
In recent weeks, I have been thinking seriously about ending my professional career in the Ministry of Internal Affairs system. I took stock of the achievements, successes and setbacks. I judged that I have invested enough strength and energy in the work in the service of society.
For me, the rule of law, the observance of order and rules are a cause that should be recognized by every employee in the law enforcement system.
My professional biography to date is entirely related to the Ministry of Internal Affairs. In this sense, the decision is difficult for me. At the same time, it is easy because it rests entirely on my inner conviction. I will continue my realization in another sphere of public life.
To the thousands of worthy policemen, firefighters and rescuers, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for our many years of working together. I know how difficult it is in a complicated situation to keep your motivation and energy.
I wish you health, courage and determination. A tribute to your daily tireless work! May success always accompany all current and future employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs!".
