"We have had information for a long time that Kalin Stoyanov does not want to work with Zhivko Kotsev as chief secretary, isolating him from work in the ministry". This stated in "More from the day" on BNT Boyko Rashkov, PP-DB deputy and former interior minister.
He defined Kotsev's withdrawal from the Ministry of Internal Affairs system as a logical decision:
"Obviously the Chief Secretary cannot work on normal terms with the current Home Secretary. He parted ways with a number of senior officials in the Ministry of the Interior, including at the regional level.
To the question of whether he managed to contact Kotsev, after the PP-DB announced today that they had no contact with him, Rashkov answered:
"I'm speaking more generally, I also meant the past. Today was very busy, there was a closed session of the parliament, which turned out to be a blow in the air, regardless of the fact that the parliament had decided to listen to the interior minister.
In the words of Boyko Rashkov, if the interior minister had answered the question whether Martin Bojanov - the Notary was an associate of the Ministry of the Interior, today's commission would not have taken place. Rashkov criticized Kalin Stoyanov for not knowing the order in which information and data representing state secrets are provided, as well as that other bodies outside the Ministry of the Interior have the right to access such information.
"In the Law on the Protection of Classified Information in Art. 39 provides that from the President to the People's Representative have the right of access to classified information in a certain order. This order was followed by the parliament, but the minister grossly violated the law by not presenting such information, including using the curious argument that it was a state secret, as if the National Assembly had no right to become acquainted with the state secret, and that it would be a danger for the life and health of the secret collaborator himself (that is, the murdered Martin Bojanov - b.r.).
The Ministry of Internal Affairs is a national body and no one can appropriate it, including the current minister, said Boyko Rashkov. He admitted that he trusted Kalin Stoyanov when he appointed him as the head of GDBOP before 2021.
"We worked together on the case of AM "Hemus". We at the Ministry of the Interior did what could be done at that time. At the moment I am talking about the behavior of the minister on the present day.
Rashkov also commented on the arrests in the "Customs" agency. and defined them as the beginning of the election campaign. According to him, some of the state bodies are currently leaning towards certain parties.
"This election battle is off to an extremely dirty start. On the part of those state bodies that are currently, I hope, exercising their powers according to law, but in a certain sense we can assess their activity as leaning towards certain political parties, in no case towards the PP-DB. >
