It is already clear that the elections will be 2 in 1 – for the early ones for the national parliament will be together with the regular ones for the European Parliament – on June 9. President Rumen Radev is expected to officially schedule them by decree on Tuesday – April 9. On the same date, the official government proposed by Dimitar Glavchev will be appointed.
„It is possible that there will be changes in the proposed caretaker government by Tuesday. Scandals are going on, mainly with the nomination of the Minister of the Interior“. This is what he said in “This Saturday” Prof. Ekaterina Mihailova, a long-time member of parliament and professor of constitutional law, quoted by novini.bg.
She reminded that according to the changes in the Constitution, the parliament will work until the swearing in of the new deputies, the official cabinet will be sworn in before the National Assembly, but in practice it will not be possible to be replaced by them.
In her opinion, it can be done so that deputies receive two salaries if they are part of the previous and the new parliament.
