The Metropolitan Municipality announced 13,102 vacancies for admission to the municipal independent nurseries, kindergartens and preparatory groups in the municipal schools.

FACTS recalls that 12,436 were the vacancies at the start of the campaign in 2023
The new 666 places have been opened in 14 different regions of Sofia,
including in the areas with the greatest shortage - “Vitosha”, “Lozenets” and “Triadity”.
Stolichna municipality promises that in 2024 the construction of 17 new kindergarten buildings will continue. By the end of 2024, the construction of 13 of them is expected to be completed and after their commissioning, 14 nurseries and 47 garden groups with 1442 new places will be opened.
Kindergarten application rules
From today until 12:00 on May 9, 2024, parents have the opportunity to apply for admission of their children.
It is necessary to enter up-to-date address data, to declare advantages according to criteria in the profiles and to apply for participation in the first ranking, which will take place on 10.05.2024 under civil control.
A few changes have been made to the application system that will make it easier for parents.
There are improvements in the “Compensation“ module, an increased number of inquiries that can be made automatically and a technical optimization of the application system, allowing for seamless uploading of documents.
The time of creation of the applications has no influence on the ranking of the children!

After the completion of construction in the period May 2023 - April 2024 of new buildings of kindergartens and extensions of existing ones, 503 new places have been announced in 20 new groups of 5 kindergartens. They have already accepted children of current rankings and they attend kindergarten.
