Around 7:00 p.m. on April 6, the on-duty part of the regional directorate received a report of a woman who had fallen to a path in the immediate vicinity of a precipice above the rocks above the "Divdyadovo" quarter. Minutes later, the rescue teams meet in the area of the plateau, near the cliff face. They divide their area and walk around it, following the received gps coordinates. An additional conversation was held in which the special police established the exact location of the victim. They found that the woman was in a helpless state, clinging to a bush meters from the precipice. The two don't waste time, they equip themselves on the spot.
Provided with the equipment and by alpine method insp. Nikolay Spasov went down to the woman. With an additional suspension system, help and coordination from RSPBZN - Shumen, the woman was saved.
"We are well prepared for such situations, I'm glad we succeeded. My concern was that she was meters away from falling into the abyss, and she had grabbed onto a bush. I didn't know how strong he was. The moment I got down to her, I knew we were going to save her," said Insp. Spasov. "The danger continued while we were being hauled up to the ridge, as stones kept falling. Luck was on our side, I was able to protect her by bending her head towards me and thus protecting her. I thank both the colleague and the rescue team of RSPBZN-Shoumen for the precise, coordinated and quick actions", added the special policeman.
