After 10 months in office, the Minister of Labor and Social Policy Ivanka Shalapatova is ready to hand over power to her colleague Ivaylo Ivanov, who until now was at the head of the National Institute of Social Sciences.
„I did not receive an invitation to stay in the office. On the other hand, I am ready to hand over to the acting minister everything that we have started in order to have complete continuity. I am calm, he has been in the social sphere for many years, he has a good understanding of people's problems,” said Ivanka Shalapatova.
Her recommendation is to continue the started reforms and not to change the team of experts.
„The people in our structure are the right ones, I have experienced their competences, their combativeness and I know their management vision for the next 3 years. "I know how they would lead the structures," said Shalapatova.
Health Minister Hristo Hinkov is handing over the post calmly.
„I know Dr. Kondeva well. I think that in the short time she has to work, she will do well, as long as she continues the policy that we have laid down in the ministry. And I am sure she will do that. A very important project is the children's hospital. The helicopter emergency service too”, said Hinkov.
At the Ministry of Tourism, Zaritsa Dinkova will hand over the post to Evtim Miloshev and has already called him to give him recommendations.
„I wanted to say that I am ready to pass on my work in the best possible way, so that there is continuity. We made a very successful reform in terms of marketing and advertising, we opened them up to partnerships. We have 70% growth in early bookings from the UK market, 30% for 2025, 20% from the German market for this year. "We have returned the trust of the biggest tour operators," said Zaritsa Dinkova.
Innovation Minister Milena Stoycheva will get up from her chair tomorrow to free it for Rosen Karadimov, who is now the head of the Bulgarian Development Bank.
“I know Mr. Karadimov, he is the chairman of the BBR Supervisory Board. I hope that the policy related to the promotion of investments, innovations and high technologies will continue, Milena Stoycheva said.
She is proud of what she has achieved in 10 months, but for now she is not considering returning to the post.
„We managed to negotiate more than one billion, which will enter the Bulgarian economy and support the enterprises in the country”, said Milena Stoicheva.
