The Supreme Administrative Court annulled an order of the Administrative Court in Sofia - city, with which, upon appeal by the Association “Stand Up.BG“ and a group of individuals was ordered to stop dismantling the monument to the Soviet Army, BNT reported.
The case was initiated on a private complaint by the Regional Administration of the Sofia Region. The defendants are the Association “Stand Up.BG.“, represented by Maya Manolova, Voyslav Todorov in his capacity as a municipal councilor in the Metropolitan Municipal Council, Viktor Yochev and Georgi Kadiev, in their capacity as citizens of the Republic of Bulgaria.
The Supreme Magistrates leave without consideration the request submitted by the Association “ Stand up. BG“ and the specified natural persons, thereby disputing the actions of officials from the Sofia District Administration regarding the dismantling and cutting of the bronze figures of the “Monument to the Soviet Army”.
