The court in Samokov sentenced Kalina Sakskoburggotska to 8 months of imprisonment for driving after drinking last summer in Borovets, bTV reported.
She will also have to pay a fine of BGN 200, as well as over BGN 17,000, which is the value of the car she was driving, as it is not her property and cannot be taken away from her. She was deprived of the right to sit behind the wheel for 8 months.
Ina Lulcheva, the lawyer of Saxe-Coburggotska, stated that they do not yet know whether they will appeal the verdict. However, he added that during the course of the case, Saxe-Coburg cooperated with the court.

The case in court came about after she crashed a car into a hotel barrier in Borovets on August 19 last year. There were no injuries in the incident. A drager test revealed the presence of 1.5 parts per million of alcohol.
