The deputy mayor of Sofia with portfolio &bdquo ;Public construction“ Ivan Matov resigned.

With a post on Facebook, Matov announced that he was resigning from his post.

„Thank you for trusting me to take on this responsible position, but due to personal reasons I will not be able to continue performing my functions.", he wrote.

Ivan Matov was appointed to the post on January 25. He was responsible for the objects of the transport infrastructure, plumbing and high-rise construction of municipal buildings, BTA recalls.

Hours earlier, the former chairman of the Metropolitan Municipal Council and current municipal councilor from GERB, Georgi Georgiev, revealed on "Facebook" that Mayor Vasil Terziev had revoked Ivan Matov's powers.

We remind you that Matov is a civil engineer from the Technical University of Munich with an exchange at the “Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées” in Paris and an MBA from INSEAD in France and Singapore. He is a graduate of the German High School.
