Petar Vitanov: I have invitations from several parties, I am considering them - 1

We we parted ways with Cornelia Ninova and her cronies a long time ago, but we remain staunch socialists at heart. I haven't decided yet and I'm considering the invitations I have from several political parties. This was shared by MEP Petar Vitanov in an interview with BNR.

"Part of the actions of this BSP leadership is to discredit every single socialist or left-wing person who has allowed himself to demonstrate his own opinion and thinking. Any slightly brighter representative who does not agree with the course of the BSP is thrown out in one form or another. I am not waiting for or looking for praise for what has been done in the EP. And what we have done can be seen", commented Vitanov in the show "Something more".

He is adamant that he will continue to engage in public activities, whether in Brussels or in Bulgaria.

And he recommended: "Bulgaria must find a place in the great geopolitics, because the layers are shifting and Bulgaria must defend its interest".
Vitanov's forecast for the upcoming elections is "more of the same".

"There is room for left-wing people in Brussels. It is not for me at any cost to be in Brussels, I would gladly continue here or in politics in Bulgaria, but it is not for me at any cost", Petar Vitanov admitted.

In the report on what was done in the EP, he noted the solidarity during Covid-19 - Bulgaria received vaccines at the same time and at the same price as other European countries.

"Artificial intelligence, which may seem distant and abstract, but technology is developing at a frighteningly fast pace. AI, with all its moral, ethical and technological challenges, is taking over our lives, and yet the EU has shown itself to be a pioneer in trying to regulate it," Petar Vitanov reported on the work done.

And he recalled that he was working hard on the directive on the suspension of driving licenses for serious road accidents, passed in the first reading in the EP, and for the second "somebody has to finish it".
