„We are in a situation of an epic fraud – a complete political catastrophe and the entanglement of Bulgaria in a cycle of permanent scandal. Since the creation of the assembly in June, there have been 3 scandals every week – these set new records.” This was commented by the member of the BSP National Council, Alexander Simov, to Euronews Bulgaria.
„There is an experience of PP-DB being performed on virgins who have not been married to GERB for 9 months. I remember the statements of Lena Borislavova and Kiril Petkov, who said on the second month of assembly that the model “Boyko Borisov” it's gone now – now, all of a sudden, the model is at fault again," he said.
In his words, PP-DB, DPS and GERB are the authors of this constitutional blockade in which we find ourselves and as such they must take responsibility for it.
„There is a process of confrontation inside the parallel state. It's not a clash of good guys versus bad guys, but a clash of two mafia clans who are apparently fighting over an infinite amount of resources. Zhivko Kotsev has a lot to explain about his contacts and photos, a separate issue is how these photos got into the media and in which media”, said Simov about the scandals in the customs and the Ministry of the Interior.
And he explained his reading of the whole situation: “GERB gave a lot of power to the PP-DB, they overeat with it, and all the time they were lurking and waiting for the moment when they would be exposed as another corruption web that has taken power. And yes, PP-DB are already the party of corruption and the status quo after all that we have seen.”
According to Alexander Simov, there will be a rearrangement after the elections, but he emphasized: “If a new assembly is created in the same format, it will become clear that “We are continuing the change” are actually Peevski's guards and henceforth they are another party taken over by this octopus.”
In his words, the only formula for a more normal government is the option offered by the BSP to create an expert government, equally distant from all parties, with a one-year-and-a-half mandate to solve several specific tasks.< /p>
„The BSP has gone through its crises in the last few years, but in these we are coming out with something that is very worthy – the fact that we are the only party that did not kneel before GERB. Everyone hugged Boyko Borisov, only we stayed where we started – to our voters and the declaration that we will not ally ourselves with GERB, with DPS and with this whole Mutren-oligarchic model of the parallel state,”, noted the socialist.
Simov also commented on the tension between the socialist party and its MEPs: “I speak as a person who has personally invested his trust in Elena Yoncheva. However, by voting for her, I did not vote for a person who supports the Istanbul Convention or does not comply with the decisions of the National Council. No one in the BSP wanted our MEPs to be our puppets without their own opinion, but we wanted them to at least comply with some of our most important decisions. And when that doesn't happen, I can no longer trust such people.”According to him, there has long been a desire on the left for all parties that declare themselves to be left and patriotic to sit at one table and see what unites them.
„I believe that this is a process that meets the interests of left-wing voters and is the right direction,” said Alexander Simov about the large left-wing unification announced by the socialists.
And for the upcoming elections, he predicted: “I think that the BSP will have a better result. I see that the party is on the way to regaining confidence in itself. It won't be quick, but the process has begun.”
