Prof. Andrey Pantev: We should hate each other less - 1

Our national goal should be to hate each other less. This was stated before the BNR by the historian Prof. Andrey Pantev.

"It all starts at the household level. There is something specific.

There have always been political squabbles like this. In every nation there is division.

Political crises and impasses come out after a kind of purification. After the end of the First World War, Bulgarian society was no less divided.".

Our mentality in the last 50 years has always been to seek foreign approval, the professor also criticized.

"That makes us pretty small in the eyes of the world".

Prof. Pantev even admits that there is a danger of a new national catastrophe, expressed in a serious demographic collapse.

"No one will suffer if we Bulgarians are few or disappear.

He pointed out in the program "Sunday 150" that we must remain united by the common language, music and poetry.

"We don't necessarily think alike.

We must know that this is our land. It is not an abstract understanding. Belonging to a people can be exalted regardless of personal disappointments.

Prof. Pantev made a guess about what will be written in history textbooks for the last 5 years.

"An impersonal time with very few personalities, to say none. They will say that there was a slavish imitation.

There should be uniform information about the war in Ukraine, the historian also pointed out.

"The very fact that Russian broadcasts are banned arouses interest in them. Our reaction and information filters are important.
