On Friday, a draft of the report of the Supervision of the National Institute of Social Sciences was released, with which they tried to steal 100 million BGN from pensioners by not making the increase by 11%, as laid down in the budget, but by 10%. We have collected signatures, which we are submitting to the National Assembly today so that there will be an extraordinary session of the National Assembly, at which it will be decided that the increase in pensions will be by 11%. This was stated by the co-chairman of "We continue the change", quoted by novini.bg.
"After our statement, yesterday we saw a rather hysterical reaction from GERB-SDS. At 9:30 p.m., to order the minister to submit a decision that the increase should be 11%. They didn't manage to steal a hundred million from the pensioners. We are not sure if they won't try again and invent a technical obstacle. That is why we want this session of the National Assembly to take place, at which we can make a decision to oblige them,", he stressed.
Vasilev is waiting with interest to see which of the people's representatives will vote "for" the withdrawal of millions of BGN from Bulgarian pensioners from money already provided in the budget.
"We have seen these attempts before. They tried to see if the number would go through with the Children's Hospital. It didn't go through. Now they are trying to see if the trick will work by stealing the pensioners' money. It didn't pass. From now on, every time this government allows itself to make outrageous decisions, we will want parliament to step in and stop these outrages, the changes to the Constitution give us the right to have a parliament during the time of the interim government", said the co-chairman of "We continue the change".
Vasilev also asked a simple but obviously necessary question: How come Denitsa Sacheva from GERB speaks on behalf of the acting Minister of Labor and Social Policy?
"We do not trust the official office of GERB with their statements. Whatever they say, we will table the request for an extraordinary session of Parliament. At the very least, to listen to the prime minister, how they wanted to steal 100 million from the pensioners. We will no longer allow them to release some news, see if there is a public reaction, and if it goes, it goes. It won't pass! The 100 million will go back to pensioners, the children's hospital will be state-owned, assured the co-chairman of "We continue the change". Kiril Petkov.
Acad. Nikolay Denkov comments on another episode of the series “Will the trick pass”. "Precisely yesterday's statement by the Minister of Energy that perhaps the current will increase by a lot on the grounds that there were no funds in the Energy Security Fund. Before resigning, we loaded the fund with nearly BGN 800 million. The caretaker government came, canceled our decision and now they say they will cut the electricity because there are no funds in this fund. And this attempt will not pass! The easiest thing is to reverse the reversal of our decision. There is money for the Fund!“, he is categorical.
