The driver, died in the cruel accident in Plovdiv, has three years of experience behind the wheel and 16 acts and receipts. This is indicated by a report of the Traffic Police in the city.
The incident happened that night around 03:30 on "Ruski" Blvd., near the intersection with "Sixth of September" Blvd. The car split in two on impact. The 21-year-old driver and the 20-year-old passenger next to him died. A 22-year-old boy and girl who were traveling in the back seat are in hospital in a serious condition.
„The driver has 3 years of experience. He acquired the book in January 2021. At the moment, he has 16 violations of the Road Traffic Act - five acts for administrative violations, 10 slips for minor violations and one electronic slip for speeding, with a speed of more than 21 km, for which he was fined BGN 100. ;, explained chief inspector Krasimir Neshev, head of the Traffic Police – Plovdiv.
Inspector Neshev also explained that the one act the young man had was for allowing an accident due to failure to keep a distance, Nova TV reported.
Shortly before the accident, it was raining in the city and the road was wet, and the driver was driving at an unreasonable speed, the police added.
Inspector Neshev also explained that the car does not belong to the deceased young man, nor to his family, but is registered to a company from Sofia.
The young driver was not caught driving after consuming alcohol and drugs.
A chemical examination is currently being done and the results will be available in a few days.
