A total of 205 drivers who got behind the wheel after drinking alcohol were identified within the past week – of them, 116 drove after consuming alcohol from 0.5 to 1.2 per thousand, and 89 - with more than 1.2 per thousand. 11 people refused testing. 76 drivers were found to be driving under the influence of drugs, and 28 refused testing.
For the same period, 83,795 motor vehicles were checked. 108,317 drivers and passengers were checked. 23,921 slips and 5,038 acts for established administrative violations were drawn up.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs adds that a total of 21 drivers who got behind the wheel after drinking alcohol were identified within the past day – 11 of them drove after using alcohol from 0.5 to 1.2 per thousand, and 10 - with more than 1.2 per thousand, two others refused testing. 12 drivers were caught driving under the influence of drugs, six refused testing.
For the last 24 hours, 13,550 motor vehicles have been checked. 14,896 drivers and passengers were checked. 4,116 slips and 795 acts were drawn up for established administrative violations, the police reported.
