The man and a child struck by lightning in Stara Planina in the area of Mount Kupen have died, a 13-year-old boy has been rescued. A 47-year-old man and an 11-year-old girl died.

A military helicopter from the 24th Krumovo airbase took part in the rescue operation of the victims. The surviving child has already been transported to his mother in Karlovo.
