The new road accident rules are now in force .
The changes should cut down on abuse and fictitiously inspected vehicles.
Thus, the data from the measuring machines will go directly electronically to the Executive Agency “Automotive Administration”.
The reason for the new rules is to stop bogus reviews and manipulation.
„Nothing changes in our work. The only thing is that the paper medium is disappearing and specialists at the checkpoints will no longer have to manually enter the measured data”, the chairman of the Bulgarian Motor Sports Federation, Rumen Dunev, told bTV.
Upon completion of the inspection, the driver of the vehicle receives an answer as to whether it has passed or not.
If the car fails the inspection, drivers have 14 days to fix the faults, and then they have to return to the same point for a new inspection.
If the car fails the inspection a second time, we will have to pay for a new one next time.
There are now also new stickers that are smaller than the previous ones and do not require holes. The car's registration number, ecocategory and the date until which the inspection is valid are written on them.
