The fire that broke out a few days ago in Greece, and which until recently was about 600 meters away from the Bulgarian border, has grown and is already almost at our border, reported BGNES.
The fire is raging less than 100 meters from Bulgaria.
Yesterday it was reported that the fire was under control. In the area of Slavyanka Mountain, where the disaster broke out, there is a minefield that did not allow for land-based extinguishing of the fire.
And today the Greek firefighters stopped extinguishing the fire by air due to worsening weather in the area.
Residents of towns and villages near the border are praying for rain, as has been predicted these days. At the moment, however, there is no rain, due to the strong wind that blows and pushes the fire towards the Bulgarian border.
