We already have evidence that the Constitutional Court instead of being independent and equally distant from everyone, is politically controlled, because the part with the official offices remains. This was commented to journalists by Toshko Yordanov, chairman of the parliamentary group of "There is such a people". in connection with the decision of the Constitutional Court declaring some of the changes in the Constitution unconstitutional.
According to Yordanov, the Constitutional Court cannot decide whether it is correct or not, and the judicial reform is dropped, because two of the judges are political appointees, and precisely from the period when the changes to the Constitution were made.
"Back then, we said that the judicial reform was fully implemented. We did not attack it by chance. It is poorly made, poorly implemented and some things are not within the powers of the Ordinary National Assembly", comments Toshko Yordanov.
