This was stated by the chairman of the parliamentary group of “There is such a people” (ITN) Toshko Yordanov during the talks with the GERB-SDS negotiating team on the implementation of the third mandate and the formation of a regular government. According to Yordanov, the key to having a regular cabinet is precisely in the largest parliamentary group in terms of numbers.
„With your support, a regular government could be formed, which I am sure and you know is the better option than going to another election. Then we will find ourselves in the same situation, or even worse, he said at the beginning of today's talks held in the building of the former Party House.
„We will present to you our priorities that we consider important. I hope to hear yours, we hope for a dialogue, to find common points where we diverge, he added. ITN also pointed out that if GERB-SDS deems it right to form a cabinet, the program and who should be the people to fulfill the set priorities will be discussed during subsequent talks.
Rosen Zhelyazkov from GERB-SDS indicated that the formation considers the initiative for talks as a way to restore the political dialogue between the parliamentary groups. On behalf of the political force, he addressed three questions to ITN.
„What is the attitude of the ITN to the participation in a majority, which aims to rearrange the home book, metaphorically speaking, of the president, going through the overthrow of the speaker of the National Assembly and the election of a new one who will be, in agreement with the presidential institution named as acting prime minister? If such a majority is formed, and it was the subject of yesterday's meeting held not in front of the media cameras, was it for a majority for a regular government or a majority for a caretaker government? Why was GERB not invited to participate in this meeting, if it was for a regular government?“, Zhelyazkov asked.
„There is no way to participate in two parallel political processes – for forming a majority for a regular government and a process for forming a majority for engineering a caretaker government”, he pointed out.
