This is what the deputy chairman of the PG of “There is such a people” told journalists. Stanislav Balabanov after the end of the talks with representatives of GERB - SDS, after which it became known that the first political force will not support the implementation of the third mandate to form a regular government.
„One particular person wants quick elections in the state and his name is Delyan Peevski. Based on what I observe in the public space, I wonder if the shadow of Delyan Peevski over the leader of the first political force is too big. These are answers that the public will find out very soon," stressed Balabanov, quoted by BTA.
He revealed that during the talks between the negotiating teams of “There is such a people” and GERB - SDS has achieved full coverage of the priorities important to the state, but, in his words, “a shadow hanging over the first political force“ has hidden the desire for expertise.
A normality has been achieved in the National Assembly, which is the merit of “There is such a people”, as well as an experience of statesmanlike behavior and a vision for the country. It will be appreciated by the Bulgarian citizens. However, I doubt that the Bulgarian citizens will forgive the personal and party interests of specific people, Balabanov pointed out about the talks held by ITN with the political forces.
„The topic of the official office is a follow-up, based on what happened today. We gave the historic opportunity to all political formations, in this one week, to act statesmanlike. A part of them did it, another part did not say their official position. In fact, the responsibility of the first political power and its leader was to see if there is an opportunity in such a severe political crisis to take a statesmanship approach, he added.
Today's meeting between “There is such a people” and GERB-SDS lasted about three hours, during which various topics from the sphere of state administration were discussed.
