"In continuation of the constitutional procedure for appointing a caretaker government, President Rumen Radev appoints Dimitar Glavchev as a candidate for caretaker prime minister. In fulfillment of the procedure, yesterday the head of state held talks with those defined in art. 99, para. 5 of the Constitution, persons who can be appointed acting Prime Minister. Today at 12 o'clock, the head of state will receive the candidate for interim prime minister in the presidential institution, in order to instruct him to propose the composition of an interim government". This was announced by the press office of the president, quoted by Nova TV.
We remind you that Radev's initial choice for the post was Gorica Grancharova-Kozhareva. However, she decided that Interior Minister Kalin Stoyanov would remain in his post and in the new cabinet, which forced the president not to sign a decree on the appointment of her government.
On Wednesday, the head of state held talks with the people who, according to the Constitution, have the right to hold the position of acting prime minister. Most of them refused.
