Antisemitism in Rila? Israeli tourists complained that they were evicted from Ivan Vazov hut - 1

In a post on social networks, it is claimed that four youths were evicted from a hut " "Ivan Vazov" because they are Jews, writes BNT.

According to what was written, they were forced to spend the night in the open in the mountains, and the staff of the hut chased them away with insults and threats even from the meadow nearby. A relative of the boys defines what happened as anti-Semitism. However, the lodge denies such a thing.

When they started the hike in Rila, Loren and Liad had an idea to spend the night around the "Ivan Vazov" hut. An hour after they arrived, they pitched the tent.

"After pitching the tent, we started to prepare food. Then they came to us and told us - this is not Palestine, get out of here," says Liad.

"When we got there, a man with a beard, probably the lodger, started saying nasty things about the Israelis and that worried us a lot," Loren pointed out.

The hut version - saw a tent on the hiking trail in front of the bungalows around the hut. In a calm tone, he explained to them that they were in a national park, such a location was illegal, and asked them to move to the camping area designated by the Eco-Ministry around the "Ivan Vazov" hut.

"It is literally about 20-30 meters and I told him like this: You are already in the easement of the hut, but let it be regulated, here you will move in the back, I will register you in the hut, at which point things started to escalate - yes, it came to aggression, verbal, of course, and we raised our voices and started shouting at each other - two men, two dogs, just barking at each other. He said he will not leave the place, I stand by my words, I really said, this is not Palestine, do what you want. As in this thing I put the meaning - you are not at home and you cannot do as you do in your father's house", explained Ventsislav Zlatarev, hut owner of the "Ivan Vazov" hut.

"At the entrance and out front it doesn't say anywhere that no tents are allowed. After we made the tent, they came at us with verbal aggression. In the morning, when we got up, I went to drink water, the man with the beard said to me: All Israelis are idiots like you, you shouldn't be here,' commented Loren.

From the Jewish organization "Shalom" called on the chairman of the tourist union to take an attitude and to work for the Bulgarian mountains and nature to be a place that unites us, and not an expression of hatred and division. Yesterday, the Bulgarian Tourist Union supported the lodger, considering his behavior correct. According to them, he reacted to the regulations of the tourist union.

"Hut "Ivan Vazov" is located in the park zone of the "Rila" national park. Rila National Park has a special status and bivouacing on the territory of "Rila" National Park is categorically prohibited by law and this must be clear to all tourists", said Vencislav Venev, chairman of the Bulgarian Tourist Union.

According to Loren, there was also physical aggression, but according to the lodger - this is a lie.
