A large-scale fire broke out in the area of the camping "Kavatsi" near Sozopol, causing alarm among local residents and tourists. According to information from the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs - Burgas, the fire incident started at the "Kavatsi" hotel.
At the moment, there is an intensive fight against the fire element. Eight fire engines and over 20 firefighters have been mobilized in an attempt to control the situation. The flames threaten the nearby large supermarket, which necessitated the urgent evacuation of staff and visitors.
The situation is further complicated by unfavorable weather conditions. The high temperatures, in combination with the dry grasses and bushes, as well as the gusty wind, create conditions for the rapid spread of the fire.
Due to the dangerous situation, some roads in the area are closed to traffic. The thick smoke that floats over the area further complicates the work of the firefighters.
