Lena Borislavova: GERB do not govern Sofia and cannot change this fact through their majority in the municipal council

Lena Borislavova: GERB do not govern Sofia and cannot change this fact through their majority in the municipal council - 1

"Prominent public figure Anton Hekimyan and the GERB group in the municipal council are lifting weights because they do not have a mayor in Sofia", Lena Borislavova wrote on her Facebook page from PP-DB, quoted by novini.bg.

Her comment follows the series of dramas in SOS earlier today. Representatives of GERB-SDS demanded the immediate resignation of SOS chairman Tsvetomir Petrov. The reason for the claim was that, according to the chairman, the report of GERB-SDS on the reconstruction of ul. "Military" is illegal and will not be included in the agenda of a meeting of the city parliament.

"According to the lawyers of the Metropolitan Municipality, the request for consideration of the GERB project for Opalchenska (written entirely with pre-election purposes) is illegal, since the project does not fall within the competences of the councilors (but only the mayor) and therefore the project it will not be included in the agenda of the next meeting of the city parliament", Borislavova wrote.
"Here it will be useful to remind GERB that they do not govern Sofia and cannot change this fact through their majority in the municipal council, nor through that in the National Assembly. And here I will recall one more fact. When GERB illegally tried to block the measures for the financial stabilization of Toplofikatsia Sofia (by covering their debts from BEH's dividend), the Constitutional Court overruled this decision of the National Assembly," she adds.
