Member of the European Parliament Tsvetelina Penkova held a key meeting with N. Pr. Dr. Rami Alotaibi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Bulgaria. During the conversation, the main topics related to upcoming initiatives and opportunities to strengthen cooperation between the two countries were outlined.

One of the important topics discussed at the meeting was the 19th meeting of the Internet Governance Forum, which will be held in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, from December 15 to 19 this year. The forum is essential for addressing global issues related to Internet governance and is a platform for the exchange of experiences and strategies between countries. Tsvetelina Penkova, in her capacity as head of the delegation of the European Parliament, emphasized the importance of the event as an opportunity to strengthen international cooperation in the technology sector.

During the discussion, the prospects for deepening the partnership between Bulgaria and Saudi Arabia in key areas such as energy, technology and education were highlighted. Penkova noted that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is an important partner of Bulgaria in the Middle East and emphasized the need to promote cultural and economic exchange between the two countries. According to her, such an exchange will open up new opportunities for joint initiatives, as well as create a platform for mutual understanding and growth.

The meeting with Ambassador Alotaibi ended with a common understanding of the importance of the multi-layered partnership between Bulgaria and Saudi Arabia. Willingness to work on joint initiatives to strengthen political, economic and cultural ties between the two countries was expressed.
