This was stated to "Eurocom" by lawyer Alexander Kashumov, after Dimitar Glavchev's office proposed that information be classified in practice forever.
This became clear from a draft amendment to the Law on the Protection of Classified Information, released for public discussion on the government's Public Consultation Portal.
"If a document is destroyed after it has been classified, then no one will ever see what is written in it. According to our legislation, the stamp is placed by the person who has the right to sign the document. That is, the same person creates the document, signs it, classifies it, and then decides at some point to destroy it. This is a relapse.
