The Joint Governance Council will be working hard these days and after Tuesday it will start working on personnel appointments - deputy ministers, regional governors. This was stated to journalists in parliament by GERB leader Boyko Borisov, quoted by BTA.
He expressed satisfaction with the achieved result of the negotiations for the formation of a regular cabinet and the fact that GERB managed to lead the process and form a fifth government.
The Joint Governance Council is listed as a decision-making mechanism in the coalition between GERB-SDF, "BSP-United Lefts" and "There is such a people" (ITN).
"I am very pleased that with my colleagues from ITN, BSP and "Democracy, Rights and Freedoms-DPS" we held difficult and long negotiations with an unclear end. Nearly 15-20 days passed and finally we managed to lead the process to form a fifth government. Before the "assembly" we were making joint programs with PP-DB, but now we started from the back. Until Wednesday evening it was not known whether we would have a government", Borisov also commented, quoted by BNR.
"I propose that we prepare a declaration for a "sanitary cordon" for PP-DB, so that it does not vote together with "DPS-New Beginning" from now on. When you accept Peevski's biggest enemy and don't give him a chance to support you in parliament, it's much stronger than scribbling something on a piece of paper," he added.
Boyko Borisov pointed out that for many years he taught people to kick and to protect themselves from kicks.
"The friendliest way to tell them is that even when you win, you can't eat salad in the evening because your mouth hurts. There is no victory without taking another blow, so that they stop with the kicks and senseis, to return to the political scene, because I told them with the best intentions that this government is not something concrete - and the colleagues from ITN wanted it, and from the BSP, and from the APS, and we wanted to include the colleagues from the DB. Why not?", Borisov responded to yesterday's threat by DSB leader Atanas Atanasov to "close with his foot" the open door that the GERB leader left them.
